A bit about them:
Laura Baratto is the driven and dedicated Executive Head Chef of Solotel Group’s Opera Bar. Baratto started by working as an apprentice at the iconic Aria Bar & Restaurant. Mentored by and working closely with renowned chef, Matt Moran, she is leading the way in contemporary Australian chefing.
Baratto began her food journey inspired early on by her family, growing up making gnocchi in the kitchen of her family home with her grandmother. Determined to follow her passion, Baratto decided to leave school and continue studying to be a chef.
Baratto was awarded Petite Bouche’s Chef of the Month in 2019, and focuses her dishes on fresh Australian produce handled with care.
